Dragon Quest V uses basic role-playing video game mechanics seen in the rest of the series, which includes leveling up by gaining experience points through battle, first person turn-based battles, and equipping weapons and armor. Something new to the Dragon Quest series is the ability to tame monsters into the player's party. The monsters can be used in battle and level-up like the human characters. Monsters sometimes request to join the Hero after battles if the party is strong enough. There are a total of 71 monsters that are capable of joining the Hero's party

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the the second role-playing game for the Game Boy Color. It follows directly on from the first, with mostly the same game mechanics, controls and even some of the graphics. In this game, Harry is joined by Ron and Hermione in the battles. While Harry can use card combinations of Famous Witches and Wizards cards to produce special attacks and effects, his friends have special attacks unique to each other. To aid in finding one's way around Hogwarts, floor maps were added. Like the first game, this one also includes several mini-games, including Quidditch, that once found in the game can be accessed from the main menu.

Pokémon Blaze Black 2 Redux is a rom hack of Pokémon Black 2 and a remake of another rom hack by the name of Pokémon Blaze Black 2. Notable features include: - The ability to catch all 649 Pokémon in a single playthrough. - A revamped trainer roster and two optional difficulty modes. Challenge Mode will push vertain players to their limits, whilst Easy Mode provides a relaxed experience. Normal Mode is roughly as tough as Renegade Platinum. - The addition of the Fairy Type, as well as changes to the Steel type introduced In Gen VI. - Documentation of all Pokémon changes, Item locations, important NPCs etc - as is standard in Drayano Hacks.

Like Drayano's many other Pokémon hacks, it makes all Pokémon available, makes changes to a variety of different Pokémon to increase their viability, increases the difficulty compared to the official games, and makes some minor story changes.
