The first football management simulator, many of the hallmarks of the incredibly complex games which exist in this genre today are found in embryonic form here. Club finances, player transfers, basic tactics, and perhaps most importantly of all, excellent white noise crowd sounds when your team scored.

Take control of a football team in a division below the top one, and try to lead them to glory in both league and European competition. You start with a squad of 12 players, whose names can be changed, but have room for 15 players in total, with chances to buy and sell players. You can take out a bank loan, the level of which depends on your division. The team's formation can be customised, and as outfield players are not limited to a single position, you can customise the team's strengths and weaknesses in quite a precise way. Matches are played out by listing scorers as they happen, and are followed by a full list of the division's other results. Finances change after each match to wages, gate receipts, and possible incidents such as riots and illegal player approaches.

International Football is a management game allowing you to participate in the World Cup with a choice of 32 teams from around the world. With your squad of 20 players you can train the players as well as change your tactics and playing styles. Once you are happy with your selections it is time to play your next game. On the match screen you can see both teams kit but the match is described in text. You can see a timer, the score and any incidents that occur. During a game and at half time you can substitute players or change tactics.

In the championship mode horse and rider compete in multiple championships and the player's care of the horse influences the performance. During the maintenance part everything is controlled with the mouse. In races the horse is controlled through the arrow keys with the space bar to jump. Next to the AI opponents it is also possible to compete with up to four friends on a single computer in the multiplayer event.
