Mega Man World 4 DX2024

Mega Man V was released on 1994 for the original Game Boy. While the previous four entries in Nintendo’s handheld recycled some content from the NES games, the fifth and final entry finally got its unique story, original enemies and a bunch of exclusive features. And now… you can truly enjoy it in full color! Just imagine, in the era of Game Boy Color, when Zelda, Tetris and many other games were re-released as the famous DX versions… How Mega Man could have looked if Capcom had made a DX version of this underrated gem? Now you can with this ambitious colorization project that took more than two years! And, not only that, but the hack also optimizes the game’s code, thus removing all slowdown from the original game! Pause menu has been reprogrammed as well, and added icons to every weapon (just like the later NES Mega Man games), making it looking gorgeous!

The third entry in the Mega Man World series gets a coat of paint! Enjoy another blue bomber classic in full color and defeat Wily one more time with colorful backgrounds along gameplay fixes and enhancements.

Metroid II DX is a mod that converts Metroid II to the Game Boy Color, now colorized. Not to be confused to the official Metroid II: Return of Samus DX, which was never released.

A Super Metroid ROM hack

Following the events of Super Metroid, Samus must destroy another Metroid research facility built by the Space Pirates on Planet TN578. This time however, the Pirates are more prepared to deal with Samus with the development of new weapons and armor based on Verdite technologies. It is time once again to protect the galaxy! With complete map and room overhaul, new items, new enemies, new challenge and difficulty modes and more!

Released in 2020 on Game Boy Advance, by Golden Warrior.

Layla: The Iris Missions is a complete overhaul of the Famicom game Layla. It features all-new levels, altered graphics, an original and much-expanded soundtrack, and many tweaks to game mechanics, with the goal of creating a more modern game experience without compromising the core grabbing-cake-and-ice-cream-on-roller-skates gameplay.

This hack was created to show off Samus's ability as much as possible. It's like glitchtroid and impossible combined.
