The F.A. Premier League Football Manager 2000 is a football sports management game. It is the first sequel to The F.A. Premier League Football Manager 99.

Up to eight players can manage one European team on one of three difficulty levels. The player's responsibilities are training, scouting, transfers, press speeches and team strategy (this is the best part of the game, lots of tactics). Each team has 20 players with different skill that change throughout the season, so the player has to select the starter eleven for every match

FA Manager is the only football management simulation produced with the full endorsement of the Football Association. Working closely with the FA, the developers Krisalis have gained valuable knowledge of player contracts, wage and bonus structures and general "behind the scenes" dealings in order to create the most realistic soccer management game ever released on the Playstation.

FIFA 99 features an elite league called the "European Dream League" in which 20 top teams from across Europe battle it out in a league format. It was also the first game to feature a block containing teams which did not pertain to any of the main leagues (back then, it was known as "Rest of Europe" since all teams were European, the vast majority of them featured either in the 1998-99 season of the UEFA Cup or Champions League). Graphically, it is a major improvement over FIFA '98, with the inclusion of basic facial animations and different players' heights as well as certain other cosmetic features such as improved kits and emblems, although they are unlicensed. Gamers may also create their own custom cups and leagues and select the teams they wish to participate.
