On the planet Verdecelba, which exists in a corner of the universe, three military nations, "Noipask", "Gidan" and "Munogii" have been in conflict for a long time. Space pilot Misaki is caught in its gravitational sphere, crashes and is rescued by Noipask. Becomes a mercenary and gets involved in the conflict between these three nations.

Natsume's farm simulation series makes its debut on the PlayStation with Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. It is the first Harvest Moon game for a non-Nintendo console. Starting with a few rudimentary implements and very little money, players begin the arduous task of reviving their grandfather's farm and thereby claiming their place as its rightful heir. Players are given three years to achieve this goal. A year consists of four seasons, each of which lasts 30 days. Different crops can be planted each season, but before the seeds can be planted, the land must be cleared and then the soil tilled. Seeds must also be watered until the fruit or vegetable matures. Once the crops are ready for harvest, they can be placed in a shipping bin where they'll be collected and paid for. In addition to farming, players will interact with local villagers and partake in seasonal events such as the Tomato Festival and Fireworks Display. As more money is earned, players can expand their farm and begin to raise livestock such as chickens and cows.

To become a mage, players must study how they can make scrolls and collect the ingredients necessary to make them. The game features a first person perspective while players are at home and switches to a top-down 2D view when they go outside (The Saturn and Playstation releases render areas in 3D). There are 102 days in a year in this game and 5 seasons during which different materials can be found on the island. The game has 70 kinds of scrolls and around 150 kinds of materials to collect.

Chiisana Oukoku Erutoria (also known as Chiichi na Oukoku Erutoria) is a 2D RPG game in which the player takes the role of a young knight that is trying to find a bride. To make his kingdom more important he have to find the legendary sword, and talking to different people will give him clues about where the sword can be find. During the game the player will meet different people (specially girls and if you become friends of them their territories will join your kingdom). The game is divided into 2 different kinds: A strategy part in which the player choose what have to be done in the town (cut trees, build new buildings, harvest, loan money, etc.) and the quests part that will give you money or meet new people that will open other quests. In the quests the battle part is a turn based rpg style, since the player can choose what their character will do in each turn. During the game the town will grow and also will grow the population with new buildings like a school, a hospital or a museum. The game features 17 different female characters to become friend or even lovers, depending of the player actions there are different endings.

The game is also known for its "overwhelming cuteness" and low level of difficulty. Although this may make the game seem geared towards a younger audience, in Japan, the game and series in general has seen much success.

The gameplay use a first person perspective and use close up views when the player characters appear and when they talk to other characters. The game features different events during the weeks.
