Super Robot Wars is a series of tactical role-playing video games produced by Banpresto, which is now a Japanese division of Namco Bandai. The main feature of the franchise is having a story that crosses over several popular mecha anime, manga and video games, allowing characters and mecha from different titles to team up or battle one another. The first original Super Robot Wars game on the PlayStation and one of the only games to use full-sized mecha. This game features the SRX plotline and is the precursor to the Super Robot Wars Alpha series. Series Premiered: Blue Comet SPT Layzner, Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V, Demon Dragon of the Heavens Gaiking, Invincible Robo Trider G7, New Mobile Report Gundam Wing A special disc version version released on March 28, 1997 featuring extra options such as the "Free Battle Mode".
The game begins when the military has detected a large energy signature - far *too* large. The source becomes apparent quickly: one of the colonies around Mars just exploded. And what's worse, more colonies are under attack from beam cannonry borne by unknown flying adversaries. In short order, the entire constellation of Martian colonies is wiped out, and the commander runs off to make his report, yelling to his subordinates not to take their eyes off the unidentified enemy. Some observers thinks to themselves that, had they but a little more time, Earth's warpower could have been organized to combat this threat. They had apparently anticipated this threat, but not a threat this threatening - is resistance, in fact, futile? Will the enemy even accept a surrender? With so little time to choose, they have to bet on even the smallest ray of hope - and they have to buy time, enough to steal the adversaries knowledge and technology. That's the only option open for mankind, or at least one of theobservers thinks.... to the other's protests, the first observer notes that the Earth will surely fight this threat, until at last mankind is utterly destroyed. These men cannot afford to let that happen, and the leader orders the other to call "him". He tells "him" that while he understands his feelings, he needs "him" to go to the Earth to help fight the Zanskull Empire. An unidentified flying object is heading towards Earth - and this is an age when no flying object should be unidentified. The men of the Far East Earth Defense Base contact the object, which doesn't respond to their hailing. It's due north, and headed straight for Japan... On the beach, Rilina finds a man in a space suit, rather unconscious and apparently some kind of soldier. She hastens to call an ambulance, but Hiiro regains consciousness, only to find in horror that Rilina has seen his face. Hiiro resolves to kill her, which may be a somewhat tall order ;) Rather than do it on the spot, he carjacks the ambulance and speeds off, leaving Rilina to introduce herself to... thin air. The flying object is still approaching, and Professor Hamaguchi orders his men to their stations. He tells his men, the Voltes Team, that as they are now their defeat at the hands of the enemy is certain: only by Volting In can they win! Unfortunately, that's easier said than done, especially with the enemy approaching. Ken'ichi's mom takes things into her own hands, piloting her machine and shooting at the enemy. She sacrifices herself in short order [and what jaunty music too!], apparently to motivate her sons and their teammates to actually Volt In.

Noël 3 - Mission on the Line is the latest game in the Noël series. This time the game is a little different from the previous ones. The gameplay is about using your computer to destroy the terrorist virus and clear the network. To do that the player will use 3 antivirus that Yuka Okano created and to use them the player just have to choose hacking in a square of the network and select them in that square of the network that is infected and after that a bar will appear and pressing the button in the proper time will destroy the virus. Once some parts of the network is clear a video phone event will happen and Yuka Okano or other of the girls will talk to your character and give you more information to advance in the game and clear all the network, here the gameplay is similar to the other Noël games, and in the right panel sometimes a ball of light appear and if the player is quick enough he can click on it and transfer it to the catapult part and when the ball of light shines there click again to ask the girl about that subject and gather more information. The game features an album mode that will be unlocked playing the story mode. Probably this game is the best one in the series.

Super Robot Wars F Final (or "Super Robot Taisen F Kanketsuhen") picks up where Super Robot Wars F left, starting at stage 35. F and F Final were originally thought as an unique game, but production delays made the producers decide to split the game in two parts. This game features the first appearance of Mazinkaiser (created by contaminating the Mazinger Z with Getter rays). Gameplay mechanics are the same of Super Robot Wars 4 (and Super Robot Wars F, of course). It's a turn strategy game, when attacked the player can decide to counter, to dodge (halves the % of being hit) and to defend (it halves the damage eventually received).

Metal Gear Solid is a stealth game created by Hideo Kojima which follows the MSX2 video games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Despite a transition to 3D, Metal Gear Solid's gameplay remains similar to his predecessors. The game utilizes a traditional top-down view and the player must navigate the protagonist Solid Snake through the game's areas without being detected. Detection will set off an alarm which draws armed enemies to his location. Conversations with Snake's allies and cutscenes are used extensively to advance the plot and gain more insight into it. Metal Gear Solid is regarded as one of the greatest and most important video games of all time, and helped popularize the stealth genre and in-engine cinematic cutscenes.
