

In Strahl, the story takes place in a world where magic and monsters roam the land, terrorizing innocent villagers. The player takes control of a young warrior who sets out to root out the source of evil and bring peace and tranquility back to the land. The gameplay is the same as Space Ace, Dragon's Lair and Time Gal where the player presses buttons at a certain time to either avoid obstacles or fight enemies in order to advance to the next screen. As the game progresses, the changes in the world are shown throughout the game depending on the actions of the player.

Terrorists are threatening the Free World and have amassed a diabolical force. Only the brave pilot of Cobra Command can vanquish the terrorist threat and save the free world from total destruction. The player assumes the role as pilot of the LX-3 Super Cobra helicopter. The missions go across the New York City streets, the Statue of Liberty, the Atlantic Ocean, Italy, the Grand Canyon and the enemy's headquarters on the Easter Island.

The game tells the story of a skilled and daring teenage ninja named Hayate, infiltrating an evil castle in an attempt to rescue a princess he loves. Hayate must survive a collection of deathtraps and defeat a variety of mythological creatures and other adversaries on his quest to save the princess and destroy the castle.

The year is 4001. The evil Luna has stolen a time machine and plans to use it to take over the world. You are the Time Gal, a skillful and pretty scientist, and your mission is to chase Luna through different time periods, to get the time machine back, and to save the world.

Cliff Hanger is a laserdisc video game that was released by Stern Electronics in 1983. It is an interactive movie which requires the player to press a button or move the joystick in a particular direction when prompted by the game to progress the storyline. The game uses animation from two Lupin III films, most prominently The Castle of Cagliostro, as well as The Mystery of Mamo.

The Earth is under attack. The evil Guardian's forces are in control. Only a few continue to resist and only you can help. Your mission is to survive the dangers of CyberCity, fight your way to the train and destroy the Guardian's planet. Beware: things are not what they seem! Escape From CyberCity is the first CD-Interactive action adventure to utilize full cel-animation, giving the player the feel of starring in a fast action motion picture. This beautifully animated production features a dynamic, high impact soundtrack and complete interactive play.

Data East used footage from the film Harmagedon to create a laserdisc video game titled Bega's Battle. It was released in June 1983. In the game, the player to take on the role of the robot Bega (Vega) whose goal was to stop the invasion forces of the alien Varga (Genma), while also rescuing his three friends who had been kidnapped by them. Even among laserdisc games Bega's Battle has become somewhat rare because many of the machines were converted into Cobra Command machines as part of a discount deal offered by Data East in exchange for the internals of the Bega's Battle arcade cabinet. Similar to Astron Belt, the game used the footage mainly for backgrounds, while the actual gameplay was a shooting game with sprites laid over the video. Bega's Battle also used brief full-motion video cut scenes to develop a story between the game's shooting stages. Years later, this would become the standard approach to video game storytelling. Bega's Battle also featured a branching storyline. The Twin Galaxies world record for Bega's Battle was set by Steve Harris (later the founder of Electronic Gaming Monthly) on July 18, 1983.

In Mega Man ZX Advent, the main characters discover the power of the mysterious "Biometal model A," which on its own has several attacks, but also has a special Megamerge ability which allows the character to transform into one of eight "Pseudoroid" bosses that each have a unique set of abilities. Once a boss is defeated, players can emulate their powers to find hidden routes, discover rare items and aid their battles against more powerful enemies. The title takes full advantage of the Nintendo DS features to enhance the action-packed gameplay and story line of the popular series.
