Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a skateboarding simulation in which you control a famous skate star around 3D environments. Each game area contains a plethora of objects like ramps, rails, and half-pipes which can be used to perform tricks. Each trick you perform earns you more points for your score. The game is divided into two types of levels. In the first, you skate around locations like a mall, a city street, or a warehouse. In each of these areas, there are 5 goals to complete. Some goals involve obtaining a high score, others smashing objects and some collecting objects. For every goal you complete, you earn a videotape. By collecting enough videotapes, you unlock levels and skateboards for you to use. There are 6 levels like this. The second type of level is competition. You get to make 3 timed runs through a skate park and attempt to get the highest score possible. If you do well enough, you will beat the scores of the computer-controlled skaters and win a medal. There are 3 levels like this. There are nine real-life pro skaters you can choose to play as, including Tony Hawk himself. Each skater has their own signature moves that earn you big points if pulled off successfully.

The main difference to the other versions of the game is the level design and perspective: The environments are side-scrolling and linear. However, there are several of those tracks side-by-side which can be switched at ramps. There are three playing modes: career (a campaign through all nine levels), single session (accumulating as many points as possible within a time limit) and free skating. This is the first handheld version of Tony Hawk's popular skateboarding game. It bears little resemblance to the original Playstation version. It is composed of two events: a half pipe and a race mode. Half pipe mode is viewed from a side perspective, similar to the classic Skate or Die game. You perform tricks to achieve a high score. Race mode is viewed from a top-down perspective, where you aim to perform tricks and get to the end quickly.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is a skateboarding sports game played from a third-person view across a set of urban environments. Players control professional or fictional skaters and chain together tricks such as grinds, grabs, flips, and lip tricks, using manuals to link combos into longer scoring runs. The career mode tasks players with completing level objectives and competitions to earn cash, which is used to unlock new levels and characters and to improve a skater's stats and equipment. It also includes free skate and single session modes, several competitive multiplayer games, and a level editor for building custom parks. It is the second entry in the Tony Hawk's series.

Take control of real skaters and perform strings of crazy tricks in the first entry of the long-running Tony Hawk skateboarding series.

Tony Hawk's Project 8, officially abbreviated as THP8, is a skateboarding video game, the eighth installment in the Tony Hawk's series. It was released on PlayStation 2, Xbox (Shaba Games) and PSP (Page 44 Studios) - a next-gen version was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (by Neversoft). In addition to running at 60fps, this sixth gen version differs by not featuring the interconnected levels, as you select each level from a menu. The game begins in the custom skater's hometown in surburbia. After breaking out into the main streets, a team is created by Tony Hawk. The team is called Project 8 and comprises eight skaters. The player character starts ranked 200th and by completing challenges and goals, it will improve his ranking constantly.
