Hedgehogs cannot play volleyball because their spines might pierce the ball. Instead they choose volleyring - essentially the same game, but using a ring from Sonic's universe. The rules are simple: send a ring to opponent's side, don't touch the net or ground. Hedgehog have to jump to strike the ring, but three consecutive contacts with it is a fault. Match is played to 15 points. Left player is Sonic the Hedgehog, right player is Shadow the Hedgehog. Both are controlled by players using joysticks or cursor keys. Press [ 1 ] in the main menu to choose Sonic's controls, press [ 2 ] to pick Shadow's controls. Press [ S ] to start match. Note that there is an easter egg in the game!

Beach Spikers delivers intense beach volleyball action for up to four players, and it showcases beautiful female athletes as they battle it out under the summer sun. You must cooperate and compete as you take control of bikini-clad athletes and go two-on-two at the net. Those craving a deeper experience can create their own athlete and teammate and enter the all-new World Tour mode. With each win, you'll compete to earn attributes and use a mixture of encouragements and insults to develop your teammate's AI.

The fighting system in Tobal 2 is the same as in the previous game. The player can freely navigate 3D fighting arenas under the condition that he or she faces the opponent. High, medium, and low attacks can be executed using assigned buttons. As in Tobal No. 1, the grappling and blocking system offers the player a variety of offensive and defensive maneuvers. A new unblockable fireball attack has been added for each character. Tobal 2 was released on the same day as Sony's Dual Analog Controller in Japan, noted as the first game compatible with the peripheral. Graphically, the game features Gouraud shaded and higher-resolution character models compared to Tobal No. 1, but still runs at 60 frames per second.
