The gameplay environment consists of polygonal 3D characters placed over pre-rendered 2D backgrounds. As such, the game relies on pre-determined camera angles for a view of the action instead of a real-time camera like most games. Set in a crazed, alternate future of Hong Kong, Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix is the prequel to the survival-horror hit Fear Effect. You play as one of four deadly mercenaries on a team that's been commissioned to bring back the kidnapped daughter of a powerful Chinese executive. The action begins with Hana, Glas, and Deke the three main characters from the original game meeting each other for the first time. Soon afterward they meet Rain, a close friend of Hana's. Hana, Glas, and Deke are on separate missions to retrieve three objects, but before long they realize that they're involved in the same deadly plot. The action takes the foursome through Hong Kong, Hell's Kitchen in New York City, the walled city of Xi'an, the lost tomb of the first emperor of China, and in the end, to the mountain island of the immortals, Penglai Shan. Then, after lunch, things really get crazy!

Dungeon & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun is set in the world of Mystara, a setting of the Dungeons & Dragons game. The characters find themselves in a strange, red-hued world in which the horizon slopes upward in all directions, eventually vanishing into a crimson haze at the limits of sight. Their mission is to find and make allies in this new world or else the kingdom and its culture will perish. The player leads a party of four characters (either the default party or one that the player has created). Characters and races can be chosen from the normal D&D options. The gameworld is viewed from an isometric perspective and the characters can roam around in realtime. Battles are turn based. Like most role-playing games, the gaming experience focuses on exploration, inventory management and character development.

Resident Evil 2 is a sequel to the first Resident Evil title.
