In 1983 Bally midway released the follow up to the original Tron game titled Discs of Tron. In Discs of Tron the game recreates the disc fighting sequence of the movie where you progress through different platforms in a disc battle against the evil enemy Sark. Once again players utilize an 8-way joystick for moving with one button for firing and a rotary dial for controlling the direction of the fire.

Aliens: Alien 2 is an arcade platformer (or run'n'gun if you like) featuring Ripley on a planet infested with aliens. Armed with only a basic gun at first, she faces facehuggers that come out of alien eggs. After having dispatched a face hugger, the egg may be shot to reveal an item. Items may be hand grenades, stronger guns or wing items which make her jump longer. The game was scheduled for release in 1987, but was canceled. The prototype was leaked onto the internet in 2009.

In Waterworld, you play from an overhead/isometric perspective controlling the Mariner's boat on the ocean. The point of the game is to destroy the Smokers' boats and dive for sunken artifacts, at which point the game switches to a side on perspective so that the player can directly control the Mariner underwater.
