Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden 2 is a port of the SNES game of the same name, made by Hummer Team sometime during the 90s. This is one of many pirated fighting games on the Famicom to use the Street Fighter II Engine. Unlike most Hummer Team games, it is in full Japanese as opposed to English. The story was completely removed from this version. However, the Arcade, Versus and CPU vs CPU modes are present. The characters are fought in a random order, and are always fought on certain stages. The graphics and music are taken from the original game and simplified, with some characters sharing stages. Many of the stages themselves use multi-layered scrolling. The forest stage's theme, which is Bojack's theme from the original game, was reused in Tekken 2, another game by Hummer Team. The ending is taken from the original game, albeit without the credits.

Dragon Ball: Final Bout is an unlicensed fighting game developed for the Sega Mega Drive. A re-release of the game was done two years later in 2000, but it's unknown if this re-release has any difference from the original 1998 release.

Soul Falchion is a weapon-based fighting game using Takara's engine. It has 20 characters, most (if not all) of which are based on characters from SNK's Last Blade and Samurai Shodown series, renamed (some with names taken from Mortal Kombat), slightly modified and recolored. The sprites are smaller versions of the sprites used in the Neo Geo Pocket Color games.

Dragon Ball Z: Final Bout is an unlicensed port of the Sony PlayStation game, Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout made for the Super Nintendo.

The 16-bit conversion of Super Street Fighter II, while featuring graphical and sound concession compared to the arcade version, features game-play largely the same as the original, including the new game-play modes, and selectable game speed brought over from Turbo.

The second installment of the Super Butoden series focuses on the battles during (and shortly after) the "Cell Saga" arc of the Dragon Ball series. It is one of the few games in the series to focus on stories from the series's animated films. Although having a French release, the first time the game was released in North America was when it was distributed as a bonus digital copy for the consumers who pre-ordered Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden. This version was untranslated from Japanese and still with the Japanese title.

Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension is a 2D fighting game and the last DBZ game made for the Super Famicom (SNES). It is based around the most memorable battles from DBZ and introduces more traditional and fluid combat mechanics.
