

Echo Night 2: Nemuri no Shihaisha is a first person adventure. Like the first game, Echo Night 2 is played from a first-person perspective, but unlike most other first-person games there is no use of firearms in the game. When confronted by a ghost the player must turn on the lights in the room by means of a light switch. The player is often transported into the past via the passengers or certain objects. Once the player fulfills a task important to a spirit they will vanish and drop an "Astral Piece" which can be used to get a different ending scene.
The story begins when Rebeca Morgan, the girlfriend of the main protagonist (Richard Osmond), disappears mysteriously. During his search, Richard arrives at a library and discovers, inside of a book, the image of woman called Cristina Collins, whom died long ago. The peculiar thing is, despite her old clothes and hair style, the woman is identical to his missing girlfriend. After collecting some clues, he arrives at a beautiful mansion. He will soon discover this mansion is inhabited by spirits. He must help them to find peace and discover the secrets the bewitched mansion hides. Secrets that will help him find out the reason behind disappearance of his girlfriend, which is strangely related.

In LSD the player navigates through a psychedelic dream world. The idea is simply to walk around and explore things in a dream environment. There are many strange environments in this world, and one way to travel through them is by foot. However, if the player bumps into walls or other objects in the game, they will be transported to another environment instantaneously through a system called "linking". Bumping into people, animals, or special objects usually results in a stranger dream. Each dream can last up to 10 minutes, after which the player will 'wake up', when the screen fades away and the player is sent back to the game's initial menu. However, if the player falls off a cliff or into a hole in the dream, then the player will wake up immediately. There is a graph that appears at the end of each dream that keeps track of the player's state of mind; the states are Upper, Downer, Static and Dynamic, as referring to the environments and the general feel of the dream the player just went through. Past states may have effects on later dreams.

Kowloon's Gate is a first person adventure game that puts the player in a futuristic fantasy world in which he will take the role of a young woman (a master feng shui) that will have to encounter different people, fight evil enmies, and solve some strange situations and puzzle to advance in the adventure and try to make that the world won't dissappear. Kowloon's Gate uses motion JPEG technology to render the strange CG enviroments you'll explore. Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life is a 3D RPG game developed by Yumekobo and published by SNK released in March 1999 for the PlayStation. It was released again as a PSOne Classic on PSN for the PlayStation 3 and PSP on August 28, 2007. The game's image song, "wannabe /Misty Eyes", was performed by RUMI . The game's story is notorious for being much darker than other Athena related titles.

Following the remake of the first game, Shin Megami Tensei II is a revamped version of the original Super Famicom sequel with improved graphics and gameplay along with a new difficulty mode. The gameplay uses first-person navigation of dungeons and turn-based battles against demons. The player can recruit demons as allies by talking to them rather than fighting them, and two to three demons can be fused to create new demons.

Akagawa Jirou: Majo-tachi no Nemuri ("Jirou Akagawa's The Sleep of Witches") is a visual novel adventure game with a supernatural murder mystery theme. As with Chunsoft's Sound Novel series, it features a series of static photographs with Japanese text overlaid on top. The narrative is supported by background ambient music and sound effects. The story was written by Japanese thriller author Jirou Akagawa, based on his novels Majo-tachi no Tasogare and Majo-tachi no Nagai Nemuri. It concerns an office worker who is prompted to look into the apparent suicide of a girl from his childhood after receiving a weird phone call asking for help and a vivid dream about her. He returns to the mysterious mountain shrine where she was reported to have burned to death. The game was originally released for the Super Famicom in 1995 and later saw enhanced ports for the Sony PlayStation in 1999 (with the subtitle Fukkatsusai, or "Easter") and Windows PCs in 2001 (with the subtitle Kanzenban, or "Perfect Edition").
