MLB Power Pros is a different take on the MLB license. While the player has the ability to play as authentic players on actual MLB teams, the players are represented by anime characters, with large heads, feet and hands with no arms and legs. The game has been a mainstay in Japan for the last 15 years. Power Pros does feature options from other real-time games such as Season, Multiplayer and Exhibition modes, it also has a story based mode where the player can create their own character and play up to 20 years, doing activities such as earning the right to move from the minors to the majors, landing big contracts, as well as buying houses and cars, make friends on and off the field, as well as start hobbies and make donations to charities to draw attention to the player. It also features a Dynasty mode where the player can run a MLB team, trading and releasing with a roster of 40 men and change formations on defense and offense as well as change a pitchers ball speed.

Chou Kuukan Nighter: King of Pro Baseball is a Sports game, developed by Genki and published by Imagineer, which was released in Japan in 1996.

Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu 4 is the fourth mainline entry in the series, and the first for Nintendo 64. It's the first entry to support analog controls. This game's Success Mode introduces Akio Yabe and Mamoru Ikari, who would both go on to become reoccurring characters in the series.

Ultra Baseball Jitsumei-ban is a baseball simulator from Culture Brain and part of their Ultra Baseball series of games, which take a slightly more surreal route than other baseball franchises by giving players special abilities to use. The first two games in the series are better known in the US as Baseball Simulator 1.000 and Super Baseball Simulator 1.000. Jitsumeiban means "Real Player Version", due to the game being officially licensed by Nippon Professional Baseball, which allowed them to use actual team and player names. There would eventually be two more Ultra Baseball Jitsumeiban games for the Super Famicom, released in 1994 and 1995.

Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu 3 '97 Haru is an expanded version of Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu 3 for the Super Famicom. It updates the roster the be in line with the contemporaneous NPB Season.

MAJOR DS: Dream Baseball is a Nintendo 3DS game developed by Amedio and released by Takara Tomy on July 31, 2008. The game is based on the anime's 3rd and 4th seasons, where the protagonist (name of player's choice) enrolls into Seishu High School until he lands in America to win the League and defeating Joe Gibson Jr.

Side Pocket 3 is a Japan-exclusive pocket billiards video game for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. Like its predecessor, Side Pocket 2, it features the in-game likeness of a real-life professional pool player. In this case, it's JPBA member, Kyoko Sone. Unlike the prior installments in the Side Pocket series, Side Pocket 3 renders the pool room environment with 3D polygons. In spite of this, the table can still be viewed in a traditional, top-down fashion. Play modes consist of: story mode, training mode, trick game mode, and versus mode. Game variants include: eight ball, nine ball, rotation, 14.1 continuous, bowlliards, cutthroat, three ball, poker, pocket game, mitsudama, and yotsudama.
