Get ready for some seriously hot hoops action in the three-on-three court competition of NBA HOOPZ from Midway. In the grand tradition of NBA JAM and NFL BLITZ, arcade-style gameplay is the order of the day. Select your team of three NBA stars and try to outscore the computer or up to three of your friends in frantic basketball madness. If you sink three baskets in a row you even catch on fire! Or make three consecutive double-dunks or alley-oops and watch as your whole team ignites. A simplified control scheme (with only four buttons to learn) assists you as you shake up the court, performing death-defying skyhooks and stylish underhanded swooshes. When you tire of the pros, simply create your own player or team: start with an NBA player template and alter height, weight, and other physical features until you've got the ultimate arena warrior. There is also a slew of mini-games to master like 21, Three-Point Shootout, Around the World, and 2-ball, and you can catch all the most exciting game moments in slow-motion replays. The court is always ablaze with action in NBA HOOPZ for the Dreamcast.

Hangtime was the third basketball game by the original development team behind the NBA Jam series. The title was changed due to the NBA Jam name being acquired by Acclaim Entertainment, the publisher of the games for the home market. Acclaim's NBA Jam Extreme was released the same year as Hangtime. Features introduced in Hangtime included character creation, alley oops and double dunks. A software update known as NBA Maximum Hangtime was released for the arcades later in the life cycle.

The first of the NBA Live video games series. The cover featured an action shot of the 1994 NBA Finals. It introduced many elements of that would become standard in the series, including the isometric on-court perspective, the "T-meter" for shooting free throws and the turbo button used to give players a temporary burst of speed. The game was re-released with NBA Live 06 as part of the EA Retro Series.

Dream Basketball: Dunk & Hoop is a basketball game from Human Entertainment that was released exclusively in Japan for the Super Famicom in late 1994. The player can choose between a regular match of basketball, featuring two baskets and teams of five, or a 3-on-3 mode which is focused on one basket. Up to five human players can join in on either mode, provided a multi-tap peripheral is available. The game features sixteen fictional basketball teams as well as one all-star team that is only available in the Exhibition mode. They include: The Photons, the Comets, the Flames, the Vikings, the Arrows, the Tomahawks, the Rollers, the Stingrays, the Langers (possibly meant to be Rangers), the Rings, the Waves, the Wizards, the Unicorns, the Tridents, the Sprinters, the Serpents. The all-star team is simply called Japan.

One on One: Dr. J vs Larry Bird features basketball legends Julius Erving and Larry Bird competing in head-to-head matchups at a single basket court. Players can engage in timed matches or play to a target score, utilizing offensive moves like rotations, jump shots, and slam dunks, while defending through steals and blocks. The game includes signature moves from both athletes, slow-motion replays of notable plays, and a unique feature where players can shatter the backboard - prompting a frustrated janitor to clean up the debris before play can resume.

All-Pro Basketball is a Nintendo Entertainment System game that simulated the game of basketball. The player could choose between eight different teams, completing individual matches. No seasonal play was available. The game was developed by Aicom.

Every team and player in the NBA has been included so you'll find that your favorite team is intact. You can challenge a friend or the computer to a single game in the Exhibition mode, or try to prove that you are a master by leading a team to the World Championship in the Season mode. When you don't want to deal with a season, skip it and go straight to the Playoffs. All of the modes can be played as a simulation (that counts every foul and violation) or a wide-open arcade-style game that lets you run and gun without worrying about all the rules. The most innovative feature is the icon passing system that ensures you get the ball into the right player's hands. Now you can get some of the best basketball action available with NBA SHOOTOUT '97.

The game consists of two different soccer simulations, you can carry out a match in the stadium or indoors. The field is always shown from the top and scrolled softly into all directions. Different game modes make for diversity. Up to 15 players can enter their names and then compete with each other in a league. One can also take part in a World Cup, whereby the venue corresponds to the one of a real World Cup. The computer takes over the controls of as many teams as needed. A two-player friendly can be played head to head. The game offers features as "banana kick", "action replay" and weather. The original was developed by Sensible Software for the C64, Electronic Pencil Company were responsible for the Amiga and Atari ST versions.
