The same structure brings a familiar look, inviting to channel all attention to the task of solving mysteries: your intelligence, skills and patience are required to find clues by listening to people, observing details, or even reading the London Times - but don't let yourself be misguided by a wrong hint.
The format of the game is the same as the first, except that there are three new and unrelated cases to solve. The Two Lions This investigation takes place on 17 August 1888. Holmes receives a mysterious note on his door leading him and Watson to investigate the death of two lions who were part of a traveling animal show. At the same time a mysterious death is discovered that might tie the two cases together. The Pilfered Paintings This case is set on 22 January 1891. A pair of paintings, from a recently famed artist known as DeKuyper, are stolen from the National Gallery just days before they were to be revealed to the public in an art show. The unusual circumstances in which the paintings were originally acquired by the gallery only deepen the mystery. The Murdered Munitions Magnate This case takes place on 20 March 1888. Courtney Allen, a wealthy industrialist of a gun factory, is murdered in an alley just outside his office. Scotland Yard believes it was a robbery as certain valuable contents that Allen had on him were also stolen. As Holmes and Watson investigate, they learn of a secret government project that Allen's company was involved in and its possible connection to the crime.

An aging Sherlock Holmes has to solve the mystery of what seems to be an apparent suicide on board of a steamship. Along his investigations he meets famous people like Lawrence of Arabia, Houdini, Picasso and Thomas Edison among others in this original mystery based on the immortal creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

A FMV update to the classic book-based game, SH:CD challenges players to help Holmes and Watson solve three cases involving murder. One of the first CD-ROM-only releases.

The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes is an adventure game series developed by Mythos Software and published by the American computer game company Electronic Arts for DOS in the 1990s. The series contains The Case of the Serrated Scalpel (1992), and The Case of the Rose Tattoo (1996).

This game is an innovative slant on the interactive movie. You're Eric Fox, a psychic detective who can transmit his psychic self to others, to see through their eyes and hear through their ears. That way you can find out things about the case you couldn't otherwise. The game has many different conclusions. It's a dark story though, and most people might not want to play through again.
