Following a final war with the dragon race thousands of years ago, the remnants of prehistoric technology called Pashiate is left. Lately, this technology has been used to create E-technology, the basis of wealth in the Fulcrum empire. However, there are people who wish to use Pashiate for ill purposes. Cal Ruslan is a student at the Imperial Junior Academy, and also a government agent known as a āLibraryā who protects the Pashiate technology. She operates the giant heavy robot Alper, which is the only thing that can defeat the ghosts of the past.

Snatcher is a cyberpunk-themed graphic adventure game directed and written by Hideo Kojima and produced by Konami. The setting and story of Snatcher is heavily influenced by cyberpunk and science-fiction media, taking place in a large futuristic dystopian city. The story revolves around an investigator named Gillian Seed assigned to investigate a breed of bioroids known as "snatchers", who are killing humans and taking their place in society. The game is set in a primarily first person perspective and uses a menu-based interface that allows the protagonist to interact with his environment. The player can choose to "Look", "Investigate", "Talk", "Ask" and "Move" (in addition to other options) to acquire key items or receive vital information from other characters. The player can analyze items in Gillian's belongings or show it to other characters. During key points of the game's story, the player must pass shooting sequences to defend Gillian from assailants. These shooting segments use a 3x3 grid which the player can target to fire at enemies. A shooting trainer, called "Junker's Eyes", is accessible at Junker HQ that allows the player to measure their accuracy.

Toaru Majutsu to Kagaku no Ensemble is a Japanese visual novel based on the Toaru Majutsu no Index universe. The game features four storylines from the Toaru Majutsu no Index main series, and the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun sidestories converging. Missions or quests can be accessed from the map, at the start of a new game, where the player can chose a place with some "event". The map encompasses of all Academy City. In the map, the player can view the character whom the event is about, its name, the place where it will occur, and the other characters the player will be accompanied by. Some events need to be unlocked first. The events that are depicted on the map changes depending on the time on the player's PSP.
