Play as iconic heroines from SNK’s history in a new, two-on-two tag-team fighting game. Players can activate a variety of Special Moves with the press of a button, and make use of special items to turn the tide of battle. One of the competitors will be Yuri Sakazaki from ACA NEOGEO Art of Fighting 2, which launches today in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch. SNK HEROINES ~Tag Team Frenzy~ launches on Nintendo Switch this summer.
The story takes place between the events of The King of Fighters XIV and XV. Following the previous King of Fighters tournament, several female fighters suddenly fall unconscious. Upon waking, they find themselves in a strange mansion, along with some male fighters who have been changed into women. The mastermind, Kukri, announces that he has trapped them in his castle in a pocket dimension, and they must battle each other for a chance to return home. He secretly plans to use the energy generated from their fights to empower an ancient statue in the castle that will merge his pocket dimension with the real world, allowing him to gather more women into his collection. When only two fighters remain, Kukri confronts them directly to obtain the last bit of energy needed, but is defeated by the two heroines. Kukri has a mental breakdown and escapes as the pocket dimension collapses, and all the fighters are returned to their dreams shortly before reawakening.

Asura Blade: Sword of Dynasty is Fuuki's first of two attempts at making a one-on-one 2D fighting game; its sequel, Asura Buster, is the second. The story revolves around the search for the eponymous Sword of Dynasty in a war-torn world. The game features eight playable characters, as well as two boss characters, only briefly usable in single-player mode using codes. It uses a simple three-button control scheme and sticks to more basic motion inputs for its roster's special moves, for greater accessibility. Its colorful visuals and detailed background art take inspiration from contemporary entries in the Darkstalkers and Street Fighter Alpha series.

Arcana Heart 2 is the sequel to Arcana Heart. It was the first game in the series to be developed and published by Examu after the rights of the franchise had been transferred to the company from Yuki Enterprise. It was also the first game for Examu's proprietary eX-Board, an arcade board based on Windows XP Embedded that would become the standard platform for the rest of the series and other arcade games published by Examu. The game was unveiled at the AOU2008 Amusement Expo. Andamiro demonstrated the original version of Arcana Heart 2 in the US at the 2008 Amusement Expo conference from September 10 to September 12, 2008. The game was running in a Japanese "candy" cabinet but with English gameplay and artwork. It was released in the US in October 2008 as a conversion kit to change other arcade games into an Arcana Heart 2 arcade game. The game features 6 new fighters, each with their own unique Arcana. New techniques were also included, such as the Arcana Blast, allowing the player to become temporarily invulnerable; Arcana Homing, a feature allowing the player to simultaneously close the distance between them and the opponent while homing in on them; and the Critical Heart, a devastating special attack unique to each character.

The fighting system in Tobal 2 is the same as in the previous game. The player can freely navigate 3D fighting arenas under the condition that he or she faces the opponent. High, medium, and low attacks can be executed using assigned buttons. As in Tobal No. 1, the grappling and blocking system offers the player a variety of offensive and defensive maneuvers. A new unblockable fireball attack has been added for each character. Tobal 2 was released on the same day as Sony's Dual Analog Controller in Japan, noted as the first game compatible with the peripheral. Graphically, the game features Gouraud shaded and higher-resolution character models compared to Tobal No. 1, but still runs at 60 frames per second.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes is the fifth Marvel Comics-licensed fighting game by Capcom and the third game in the Marvel vs. Capcom series. In contrast to X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, the game features characters from numerous Capcom franchises such as Mega Man and Strider, rather than just Street Fighter characters. The game takes place within the Marvel comic continuity, as Professor Charles Xavier calls out for heroes to stop him before he merges with the consciousness of Magneto and becomes the being known as Onslaught, the final boss.
