Gingateikoku no Gyakushū (銀河帝国の逆襲), released as UniWar S in the United States is a fixed shooter arcade game that was released by Irem in 1980; it runs upon Namco's Galaxian hardware (a Zilog Z80 running at 3.072 MHz). The player must use the two-way joystick to direct a yellow ship left and right (across the bottom of the screen), with a single button to make it fire shots up at the various types of enemies - and the first stage will see it fighting a formation of "Super Mosquitoes", which are worth 20 points apiece. The second stage, which sees a dotted orange line under the ship, will see it fighting a formation of "Hovering Attackers" which are worth 30 points apiece, and the third stage will see it fighting a formation of "Demon Flies", which are worth 40; some of the "Demon Flies" will leave "Spy Aliens" when killed, which will fall down to the bottom of the screen underneath that line, and try to stab the ship from behind. The only way to kill them (for 100 points apiece), is to destroy the "Killer King" when he appears - and the fourth and last unique stage will see the ship fighting a formation of "Rolling Fires", which are worth 50 points apiece and will also occasionally leave "Spy Aliens" behind when killed. After the last unique stage has been cleared, the four-stage cycle will start all over again.

Gaplus is a fixed shooter arcade game that was released by Namco in 1984. It was the only other game to run on Namco Phozon hardware, and in the US, a modification kit was later released to change the name to Galaga 3, possibly to increase recognition among fans of the games even though there was no "Galaga 2". Since Gaplus is a sequel to Galaga, it has similar gameplay. The player controls a spaceship, that can now move vertically (limited to halfway up the screen, much like Atari's Centipede) as well as horizontally, and shoots at swarms of incoming insect-like aliens which fly in formation above it and swoop down to attack it in akamikaze-like dive. In this sequel, the level starts over if the player gets killed before all the enemies have come in. When all enemies are killed, the player moves on to the next level. By obtaining certain powerups, it is possible to shoot sixty bullets per screen, the most any Galaxian-related game has.

R-Type Leo is a horizontally scrolling shooter arcade game. It is a spin-off of the R-Type series and the last entry to be released in Arcades. R-Type Leo was initially an original shoot 'em up game in development by Nanao before Irem retooled it into an R-Type project instead. It is also the first R-Type game to feature simultaneous two player gameplay.

The object of Bosconian is to score as many points as possible by destroying enemy bases and ships. The player controls a small fighter ship that can move in eight directions and can fire both forward and backward. Each level consists of a number of green space stations that must all be destroyed to advance to the next level (a semi-transparent mini-map helps identify their location). Each station consists of six cannons arranged in a hexagon, surrounding a central core. The player must either destroy all six cannons or shoot the core to destroy a station, and in later levels the core is capable of defending itself. Additionally, the player must avoid or destroy asteroids, mines, and a variety of enemy missiles and ships that attempt to collide with the player's ship. Enemies occasionally launch formation attacks — destroying the leader causes all remaining enemies to disperse, but destroying all enemies in a formation scores extra bonus points. A spy ship (worth a random bonus value) also appears occasionally, which must be destroyed or the enemies will go berserk.

The Fantasy Zone is a solar system consisting of eight brightly colored, fantastic planets. The evil Menons are trying to take over all of the planets in the Fantasy Zone by using misappropriated foreign currency to build their forces. It is the player's job to recover all of the coins and save the solar system! Fantasy Zone is an arcade style shooter for one or two players. The goal is to destroy all of the creatures on each planet and collect as many of the lost coins as possible. At the end of each level is a large enemy that will have to be defeated before moving on to the next world. At various points in the game, the player will be able to find a parts shop, which allows purchasing improvements for his spaceship, including better weapons and faster engines.
