After the success of Star Fox, Nintendo decided to make a sequel on the same system. However, with the release of the Nintendo 64 looming close, Nintendo decided to cancel the game despite it being nearly complete. Many features of this game were later reused in Star Fox 64, most notably Star Wolf, and the game itself was later leaked as source code and compiled into a working ROM. The game was later released for the SNES Classic console as an unlockable game, marking its first official release. Since then, the game was also released for the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Universal Soldier is a cancelled video game based on the 1992 movie starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. You control Van Damme's character, Luc Deveraux, as he turns against his platoon and attempts to bring down the corrupt government organization that created him.

Tattoo Assassins was a Mortal Kombat "clone" which never got officially fully released due to the waning popularity of Arcades in the late 90s. The game was essentially completed before it was cancelled, though it has some minor gameplay and sound glitches, and prototype cabinets were released to test markets in 1994.

Dream: Land of Giants (working title "Project Dream") was an unreleased game developed by Rare for the SNES. Development was eventually moved to the Nintendo 64, but the game was eventually redeveloped as Banjo-Kazooie, with most characters being re-used.

Falcon was an unreleased game by Spectrum Holobyte.

Super Donkey is an unreleased platformer starring an unnamed proto-Rayman-like aviator/explorer who resembles the main character of Nintendo's earlier game Sky Skipper. Two builds were found, though neither one has any sound or music and the onscreen timer is non-functional in both. Judging by the name and some unused sprites, this might have been a Donkey Kong-related project. Various elements of Super Donkey would eventually be used in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Developed by an unknown team under Marigul Management, a video of a game called CatRoots was displayed at E3 2000, but no details were made available. The video shows a red, cartoon cat running from a homicidal mouse attacking it with weapons, including a hammer, ninja stars and a flamethrower. At the end of the video, the cat is pinned and defeated by the mouse's pointed tail, and a Game Over sign is shown, suggesting you played as the cat. The game was never shown or mentioned again.
