BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works in 2008 and is the first game in the BlazBlue series. The game was originally developed for Japanese arcades and later received console and PC ports. The game is a traditional 2D fighter where two characters participate in a duel. Every character has a weak, medium and strong attack, as well as an "unique" technique, called a Drive attack, which is different for each character. Various combos can be performed by every character through careful input of regular and Drive attacks.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift retains the traditional 2D fighter gameplay of two characters participating in a duel on a two dimensional plane and features a selection of new playable characters.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is the second follow-up to Street Fighter III. The game increased the character roster by adding five new characters and also added further refinements to the previous game's play mechanics and rules. Darkstalkers 3 is the second sequel in the Darkstalkers series of fighting games by Capcom, originally released for the arcades in 1997. The game was originally planned to be released as Darkstalkers: Jedah's Damnation in the United States, but this title was only used in the arcade version. New characters added in this version are Donovan, Huitzil (Phobos in Japan), and Pyron, with hidden characters of Dark Talbain and Oboro Bishamon .

Tekken 6 is a fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Games. It is the seventh main installment in the Tekken franchise. It was released in Japanese arcades on November 26, 2007 as the first game running on the PlayStation 3-based System 357 arcade board. The game received an update, subtitled Bloodline Rebellion, a year later.

Mortal Kombat 4 is 1 vs 1 fighting game, similar to the other Mortal Kombat games, but this is first game in series with 3D characters models. The player can choose from 15 different fighters at the start (and several unlockables later on). Many fighters from earlier games in the series make a comeback (like Scorpion, Sub Zero, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage etc.) while other new fighters join in, like Shinook (who is the main evil character in this game), Fujin, Jarek, and Kai. Goro returns as a boss.
