There are over 14 different enemies to shoot your way through, each with varied attack behaviours, as well as unique transforming bosses with special attacks to overcome. To keep things interesting, the game features fully destructible level geometry, a variety of different weapons and powerups, and realistic physics and motion captured character animations.

Each of the states has a different weather condition and level of difficulty. If a player achieves a top-ten raking in one of the states, he or she will become a grand slam master.
