Snatcher is a graphic adventure game produced by Konami. It was originally released for the Japanese PC-8801 and MSX2 computers in 1988 and later remade for the Super CD-ROM in 1992. In 1994, a Sega Mega-CD version was made specifically for the West and released in North America and Europe (without any equivalent version on the Japanese Mega-CD). In 1996, the game was re-released in Japan once again, this time on the Sega Saturn and PlayStation. It was written and directed by Hideo Kojima, who would go on to become famous thanks to the success of the Metal Gear Solid series, although he was not directly involved with the Mega-CD version or the later 32-bit console versions. It was followed by a spiritual successor, Policenauts, which Kojima also wrote and directed.
On June 6, 1996, "Lucifer-Alpha", a deadly biological weapon under secret development at the Chernoton Research Facility in Russia, was released into the atmosphere, killing millions of people on the Eurasian supercontinent and half of the people in the world. Panic, chaos, and lack of resources eventually resulted in a destructive war that engulfed the planet. This incident becomes known simply as "The Catastrophe." Asia is no longer recognizable from the viewpoint of a person living in the 20th century. Japan, though not as severely affected by the Catastrophe, still suffered due to the disruption of the trade with its neighbors and the rest of the world. In order to fix this problem, the Japanese government eased the restrictions on immigration, accepting anyone who can contribute to society. No city in Japan better exemplifies this new policy than Neo Kobe City, a metropolis built on a chain of artificial islands and containing a heterogeneous population of many different nationalities living together. Fifty years later, the world is experiencing a threat that is even more grave than biological weapons or world wars: Snatchers. Named after their tendency of kidnapping and murdering their victims and taking their place, Snatchers are the newest menace terrorizing the already weary population. These androids appear during nighttime or the winter months and wear artificial skin that can sweat and bleed, giving them a perfect human appearance over their metallic endoskeletons. No one knows their origin or their intent. The story takes place in December 2047. Gillian Seed, a former soldier who is suffering from amnesia, travels to Neo Kobe City and enlists in JUNKER (which stands for "Japanese Undercover Neuro-Kinetic Elimination Rangers" in the Mega-CD version or "Judgement Uninfected Naked Kind & Execute Ranger" in the Saturn version), a Japanese government agency tasked with eliminating the Snatchers.

Policenauts is an interactive movie/graphic novel/adventure game with a hard science fiction storyline, written and directed by Hideo Kojima, and published by Konami. It was initially released for the PC-9821 computer platform in 1994, followed by remade versions for the 3DO in 1995, and the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1996. The game has never been officially released outside Japan, despite plans for an English localization of the Saturn version. On August 24, 2009 (in honor of the 46th birthday of the game designer, Hideo Kojima), an unofficial English translation patch was released onto the internet. The game is set in a primarily first person perspective and uses a point-and-click interface: the player can move the cursor and have the protagonist (Jonathan Ingram) analyze objects around his environment or talk to other characters in the game. Like in Snatcher, the game features shooting segments where the player must defend their character from incoming enemies. The player can use the shooting trainer at the police department to test their reflex and accuracy. There are numerous puzzles in the game, including an event where the player must dismantle a bomb by following their partner's instructions. The console versions of the game all include support for their respective mouse peripherals. The Saturn version features light gun support for the shooting segments. The game was notable for being an early example of extensive voice recording in video games. It also featured a theme revolving around space exploration and occasional full-motion video cut scenes. The gameplay was largely similar to Snatcher, but with the addition of a point-and-click interface and some first-person shooter segments. Policenauts also introduced summary screens, which act to refresh the player's memory of the plot upon reloading a save, an element Kojima would later use in Metal Gear Solid. The PlayStation version of Policenauts could also read the memory card and give some easter egg dialogues if a save file of Konami's dating sim Tokimeki Memorial is present, a technique Kojima would also later use in Metal Gear Solid.

Case: Titanic is based on the manga and anime Silent Möbius. It presents an original episode that involves the sighting of a strange ship in the clouds above Tokyo. Closer inspection reveals that the ship appears to be identical to the famous RMS Titanic that sank in the Atlantic Ocean in 1912. The game's nameless male protagonist boards the ship along with Rally, Kiddy, Nami and other heroines from the manga in order to investigate this seemingly inexplicable phenomenon. The gameplay is done in Japanese-style, puzzle-less adventure format. The entire game is set on the Titanic. The player is generally free to visit various areas of the ship in any order, though access to certain locations is restricted and necessary events must be triggered in order to gain it. The commands Look, Talk and Move are used on most screens, and there is no inventory management.

Noël 3 - Mission on the Line is the latest game in the Noël series. This time the game is a little different from the previous ones. The gameplay is about using your computer to destroy the terrorist virus and clear the network. To do that the player will use 3 antivirus that Yuka Okano created and to use them the player just have to choose hacking in a square of the network and select them in that square of the network that is infected and after that a bar will appear and pressing the button in the proper time will destroy the virus. Once some parts of the network is clear a video phone event will happen and Yuka Okano or other of the girls will talk to your character and give you more information to advance in the game and clear all the network, here the gameplay is similar to the other Noël games, and in the right panel sometimes a ball of light appear and if the player is quick enough he can click on it and transfer it to the catapult part and when the ball of light shines there click again to ask the girl about that subject and gather more information. The game features an album mode that will be unlocked playing the story mode. Probably this game is the best one in the series.
