The player can use a new item (the Capture Orb) to capture monsters which (unlike in the vanilla game) join the party and fight on your side. Additionally, all ways to get new humanoid party members have been disabled, the player needs to make do with only monsters and the two starting humanoid party members. Play as Nina and explore her dreams, collecting various effects along the way. The ending will become available once Nina has collected all four effects. This game is written entirely in NEC V810 assembly and is made to be compatible with actual Virtual Boy hardware. Hardware compatibility has been tested by a third party. The game doesn't feature any sound, as there was not enough time to write an assembly sound driver during the Jam. There is also no saving in the game itself."

This hack restores the crosses that appeared in the background of stage 1 and on the zombie’s coffin from the Japanese version, and it also changes the names of Asutaroto to Astaroth and Sardius back to being called Samael once again as well. It also removes most of the slowdowns, making the game much more enjoyable to play as well. It also makes it where you can access the hidden menu with the first controller by holding L and pressing Start as well. This hack also works with Lufia’s Super Arthur hack as well. The 0xED hex editor was used to change the name of the final boss.
