

Guilty Gear X2, also known as Guilty Gear XX and subtitled The Midnight Carnival in Japan, is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published by Sammy Studios. The third installment of the Guilty Gear series, Guilty Gear X2 furthered the plot of the series, as well as introduced new characters and gameplay mechanics. A sequel to Guilty Gear X, it was first announced in January 2002, and was released on May 23, 2002, for the arcades, in Japan. It was later ported to the PlayStation 2 and published in North America and Europe.

Guilty Gear X is the sequel to 1998's Guilty Gear, a 2D fighting game for the Sony PlayStation that became extremely popular in Japan. Featuring beautiful hand-drawn artwork and animation, as well as balanced, fun, high-energy gameplay, Guilty Gear X aspires to be the king of 2D fighters. The goal in Guilty Gear X is simple: get your opponent's Life Bar down to zero within the allotted time to win. Winning a round nets you a point; getting two points will win you the match. BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works in 2008 and is the first game in the BlazBlue series. The game was originally developed for Japanese arcades and later received console and PC ports. The game is a traditional 2D fighter where two characters participate in a duel. Every character has a weak, medium and strong attack, as well as an "unique" technique, called a Drive attack, which is different for each character. Various combos can be performed by every character through careful input of regular and Drive attacks.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes is the fourth game in the Marvel vs. Capcom series of fighting games. The player's controls were simplified to make the gameplay more accessible to the wider audience of casual players and the button configuration was trimmed down to 4 main buttons and 2 assist buttons. The game also features a different air-combo system and 3 on 3 tag, compared to the 2 on 2 tag from previous games in the series.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is the second follow-up to Street Fighter III. The game increased the character roster by adding five new characters and also added further refinements to the previous game's play mechanics and rules. Darkstalkers 3 is the second sequel in the Darkstalkers series of fighting games by Capcom, originally released for the arcades in 1997. The game was originally planned to be released as Darkstalkers: Jedah's Damnation in the United States, but this title was only used in the arcade version. New characters added in this version are Donovan, Huitzil (Phobos in Japan), and Pyron, with hidden characters of Dark Talbain and Oboro Bishamon .
